Trend Forecast Summer 08

Ah wow! Crailboards are soo hot right now. Double kickflips aka "The Hypnotizer" are in more demand than the razor scooter back in 05. New Santo Gold album, catching a base tan mid-spring, cucumber margaritas and Iron Man are all, so hot right now.

Somewhere in-between watching what had to be one of the most boring playoff games of my fan experience & wondering what type of drugs Hillary Clinton dabbles in to keep her mind disillusioned thinking she can still win the Democratic nominee. I was stuck, as normal, watching the Family Guy. Lil Stewie reaction on 2 girls & 1 cup.

Derby

Started off my West Coast tour gabbing it strong with one post then somewhere along the way the path was lost. Distracted by early AM's followed by drinking coffee too quick, work, evening drinking and wack internet connections. Pretty much in that exact order. Anyways, second to last day of the trip I headed out to Santa Cruz to link up with the OG homies.

Hit the new Santa Cruz park first & then headed out to Derby skate park. Not a scholar myself but this park has to be one of the oldest in the country, throwback waaay classic with the snake run opening up to a bowl. The first park I EVER skated. My first time I hit the snake run back in the day I fell forward slamming right on my knee cap feeling pain like I never felt before in my life. But shit, as they say a good addict never quits. 15 or so years later I am still addicted to the pleasure that is often one slip away from pain that skateboarding brings.

Taylor Kienholz followed me up with the line with Dustin Zimmerman with the tre ender

everywhere to where you are

Some missed it, some skipped it, some were there to rip it up & shut it down. Unfortunately, I missed the very first King Of Spring but because of You Tube I stay connected with my ear to the streets.

Gold Rush Tour

Touched down in Portland Oregon last night, first stop of a 5 day business / skateboarding / business trip. Roll it for Po Towns own, Brent Atchley public enemy #1




Ace Hotel = literary correct


Recommend stay goes to the Ace Hotel *third location soon to open its doors in NYC. Minimal design meets rustic

The hotel is dope! & they have you covered on the midnight snacks. Such a necessity
